Tired of the diet, bored with training. I've just had my fill of all of it. I'm thrilled to be in the smallest size since high school, love that my clothes are literally falling off, BUT getting up at 5:00 a.m. is beat...eating chicken, tuna and broccoli for every meal every day is endless...the elliptical...boring.I'm just not in my mental *happy* place this week. Always hungry even though I should be grateful for weekend cheat meals which are really the only thing keeping me going at this point. I'm afraid if I get them taken away I may quit! (Though I know I won't; it makes me feel better to say it though.) Nearly every day someone says, "I don't know how you do it. How do you eat those same foods day after day?" The answer is I'm asking myself the very same question.
Help?

Hang in there. I know it's tough. I wish things weren't so hard but I promise when your muscles start growing and you start leaning out you'll be amazed with the results. The diet is the toughest part but I think it's a good idea to change every so often. In 12 weeks I have been on three different diets. Speak with your trainer about incorporating different foods. It won't hurt to eat foods that are different as long as you stay within your range. I eat tons of asparagus, sweet potato, brown rice, carrot baby food, zucchini, steak (small portion), lots of fish and shrimp, turkey breast, ground turkey. I would think that at this point some things would be changing with your dieting. Our bodies adapt to dieting and need to be changed just like our workout routine. It sounds like just doing something a little different, adding in some new foods would maybe help your mood. It's okay to have cheat meals every couple of weeks. We deserve that, except of course if your in precontest phase. I wouldn't cheat 12 weeks out from a show. Before contest prep, before I began 12 weeks out I would treat myself to ice cream or a Blizzard at least once a week. Reward yourself, change it up!!!!
Chica - just think of EVERYTHING you have accomplished so far. Don't give up! You've been working so hard!
Dittos @ Dana! Don't forget fish in there & yum @ sweet potato. Sweet potato was like CANDY while dieting. The goal you have set is an awesome one, one that only a rare person can accomplish. You will never forget this experience, and it will affect everything else you attempt to do in your life! If you can do this you can do ANYTHING!
Thanks ladies. I can't imagine actually quitting at this stage but it really helps to complain about it a bit! Ha ha Thank you!!
